Cryptography is widely used nowadays to provide secure communication between two or more endpoints. It allows us to transfer sensitive data over unsecure channels and guarantees that the data cannot be read without decryption key. However, some of decryption keys may not be secure (or strong) enough and could be bypassed. Therefore, encrypted data could be decrypted if it was encrypted with weak encryption key. This paper provides an algorithm to determine the encryption key weakness. This will be done by generating decryption key for encrypted image using genetic algorithms. When the algorithm is able to determine decryption key, the key is considered to be weak.
