Alternative Dispute Resolution: Current State and Prospects for Development

The work presents the results of a study of the alternative institutions of dispute resolution such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration courts, which have received a significant development, and continue to evolve over the past decade. The work focuses on the elaboration of the basic concepts, forms and purposes of alternative dispute resolution and how they might be applied in the context of conflicts. It also describes the opportunities and prospects of the development of ADR in the Russian Federation. Furthermore in the work the advantages and disadvantages of this institution revealed. Current state of alternative dispute resolution in Russian legislation is analyzed for purposes of regulation as well as the institute as a whole requiring uniformity of expressions.
