The Application of Information Systems in Project Management by the Example of the CROC Company

The work is devoted to optimizing the use of software in the project management process by the example of CROC company. The object of research of this work is the activity of the CROC company, which is one of the leaders of the Russian IT market. The subject of the study is the process of obtaining aggregated information from a set of interconnected information systems, united in a single information space. During the research the following tasks were solved: 1. To describe the functional project management process of the company with the indication of applied information systems; 2. To analyze the current project management process and identify its weaknesses; 3. To propose changes in the company's business processes, the information systems themselves or the space in which these systems are located, in order to increase the efficiency of the whole process, thus reducing the costs of supporting project management, indicating the expected timing and cost of implementing these changes; 4. To substantiate the feasibility of the proposed changes, indicating the planned costs for their implementation and expected economic indicators of the company; 5. To propose a system for calculating the effectiveness of the implemented changes for potential analysis after implementation. This work consists of the main part, which is divided into three chapters, the introduction, conclusion and list of used literatures. The first chapter contains information on the prerequisites of research, its content and boundaries. The second chapter describes the current business process of the company and the purpose of applying information systems that participate in it. The third chapter analyzes the data obtained and presents the proposed changes to the current process and their significance for the company. In the conclusion of the work the results are described and recommendations are given for their further use and the significance of these results for the company.
