Factors that Influence the Price of Rare Earth Elements

Rare earth elements (REEs) are important for green and a large variety of high-tech technologies and are, therefore, an increase in demand is expected. The main characteristics of this market is a balance problem and the dominant position of China in mining and production. The balance problem refers to the differences that exist between the natural abundance of the fifteen distinct rare earth elements and market demand for them. The development of rare earth industry in Russia is alsoevaluated.
