The purpose of this paper is to draw the attention of policy makers to the existing lack of female talents in the technological aspect of Nigeria’s bid to develop itself and recruiting of young and intellectual scholars with a passion for science, engineering and technology. To achieve the objectives of these research, I focused on the historical nature of the issue, studied data which will help in identifying the different stages of the subject’s educational career which are responsible for the escalation of the trends in female student’s absence to its current state and went further to point out areas which society has accepted to be irrelevant and part of its cultural and traditional norms if not paid attention to could hasten the cycle of the problem. Nigeria can only benefit fully from inclusive girl child education only when bias in opportunities made available to them in relation to their participation in such as science and technology/engineering is prioritized. It is in a bid to bring into light the existing issue of gender disparity in Science, Engineering and Technology that I embark on this research.
