Abstract Prilipko Maria Alexeevna Choice factors of educational destination Today the share of educational tourism in the tourist industry is growing. Thus, interest in educational tourism is growing all over the world. In this paper, we considered one of the types of educational tourism - studentship. Despite the government's attempts to strengthen competitive positions of leading Russian universities, the share of foreign students for two years increased by only 3%. Moreover, with the example of the HSE, there is a noticeable decline in both outgoing and incoming international mobility. Thus, during this master's thesis it was important to understand how to increase the number of foreign students, for this we analyzed not only the reasons for choosing Russia as an educational destination, but also the choice factors of educational institutions in the Russian Federation. The analysis of the data was carried out through an electronic survey. A total of 337 respondents were interviewed, of which 315 were relevant for further analysis. The analysis of the main part of the questions was made through the Survio program, where the survey was compiled. In turn, the hypotheses were tested in the SPSS program. To test hypotheses, we constructed contingency tables (cross tables) and carried out a one-way analysis of variance. As a result, we developed recommendations on attracting foreign students to Russia, depending on the home country of the respondents.
