Year of Graduation: 2017

Like any financial institution, pension funds regularly face various risks. Their impact can lead to significant losses or a shortfall in potential profit. This issue is particularly acute considering the unfavorable economic situation in Russia today. Therefore it is important for pension funds to develop an effective system of risk management that would allow them to assess risks adequately and respond to them. But it is worth noting that the risk management systems of pension funds have their own specifics, taking into account the social orientation of the organization. However, despite the scope of activities the Pension Fund of Russia currently does not have a risk management department. The introduction of such a department can provide more comprehensive analysis of the state of the Fund and the decisions made. The purpose of this research is to design a possible model of the the risk management system of the Pension fund and to asses one of the major identified risks.
