Transformation of the Value Creation Model in the Modern Video Games Industry

This study seeks to analyze the transformation of the value creation model of the modern video games industry during the period from 2000 to 2023. Summarizing theoretical and practical aspects of the issue under consideration and applying analytical mechanisms of industrial organization theory, microeconomics and game theory, the study conducts an empirical analysis of industrial processes that affect its value creation model, as well as provides formalized description of the past and predicted dynamics of the industry’s value creation model: its structure, ecosystem, actors, their functions, significance and patterns of interaction.
