In this work, methods and means of pulsed secondary power supplies monitoring that is used in computer technology, in particular, to provide power supply to laptops are investigated. The purpose of this work is to increase the efficiency and quality of computer equipment secondary power sources electrical and thermal parameters monitoring with the interaction of different physical processes. The efficiency of control is provided by lowering cost of instrumentation, reducing overall dimensions and weight of equipment and reducing work time of the operator by automating the process. In this work the general structure of automated control system of laptops’ secondary power supplies sources is offered, electric principal schemes of interface device are developed. In the course of the research of the subject area, the shortcomings of the existing control methods were revealed. An improved technique for pulsed secondary power supplies monitoring is proposed, considering time of transient electrical processes in electrical circuits and time of transient thermal processes before doing electrical parameters measurements. A software package that allows, according to the developed method, to carry out both manual and automated control of laptops’ pulsed secondary power supplies electrical parameters was developed.
