Improvement of the Efficiency of Infrastructure Provision for the Logistics in St. Petersburg

The paper covers the question of logistics infrastructure and specifically the question of regional logistics infrastructure efficiency evaluation.

The author uses two major methods: first of all, studying and synthesis of the theoretical background of regional logistics infrastructure assessment. Secondly, in order to estimate the current Saint Petersburg logistics infrastructure conditions and efficiency the list of the analytical instruments was employed:

- the formulation of core objectives which are solved by Saint Petersburg logistics infrastructure;

-the horizontal analysis of statistical indicators characterizing the St. Petersburg transport hub;

- the calculation of the security of the gross regional product growth by the investments into fixed assets;

- the SWOT analysis matrix plotting;

- the regression model calculation;

- the correlation evaluation.

- the grouping of logistics infrastructure consumers into clusters.

Elements of scientific novelty in this paper are the following results obtained by the author:

- the definition of the logistics infrastructure was purposed;

-the regional logistical infrastructure objects classification matrix was developed;

- the domestic and foreign approaches to the effectiveness of the logistics infrastructure assessment was systematized;

-the Saint Petersburg logistics infrastructure efficiency was analysis;

-the described list of tools of logistics infrastructure evaluation was formalized as an algorithm.

The research provides 21 tables, 36 figures, 2 applications and 71 references. The paper scope is 101 pages including attachments.
