The paper considers the question of automating tour booking business process in the Pushkin Museum. There are two types of excursions in the Museum - group and collected. The process of ordering collected tours is partially automated, but even when buying a ticket online it is necessary to exchange a printed electronic ticket for the entrance ticket at the ticket office of the Museum. Ordering a group tour is made only with a personal meeting with a representative of museum tour agency. From this model of ordering group tours follows the problem: the client cannot buy a tour ticket remotely. Tour booking automation will help the Museum to solve this problem. The given work is actual for perfection of activity of the Museum as offers a full way to automating tour booking business which is necessary for the Pushkin Museum. The purpose of work is to improve the process of tour booking in the Pushkin Museum through the implementation of the possibility of booking tours through the official web site. To achieve this goal it is necessary to solve three tasks: a review of the theoretical basis for the tour booking automation; formation of requirements for business process automation; implementation of the information system (testing phase). As an approach to automation, automation by directions is chosen, according to which the stages of automation are developed. As a methodology for designing information systems, the RUP model with FURPS classification of requirements formation is used. The following research methods are applied in the work: questioning, modeling, analysis and testing. Models are built in notations IDEF0 and IDEF3. The main results of work is the appearance of booking group tours possibility on the Museum web site. To automate the process of ordering a collected tour the following solution was proposed: the purchase of a scanning device and synchronization of pass data with an information system for calculating statistics.
