Improving the Efficiency of the Supply Chain by Means of Collaborative Planning and Forecasting on the Example of Nike LLC

The main purpose of this paper is to develop a project on the improvement of the supply chain of international manufacturing company by the implementation of collaborative planning and forecasting concept. The main object of this study is one of the biggest International sporting goods manufacturer Nike LLC. This paper consists of several parts: introduction, the main part which includes three chapters: analytical, theoretical and practical one, the conclusion which summarizes the main findings, references and five appendixes. This study is based on the analysis of the financial data and the Supply Chain effectiveness of the Nike LLC. As a result of the analytical chapter, some weak points, affecting company’s current efficiency, are distinguished. During theoretical part of this study the main ways to improve the integration and coordination between partners were identified. In the third, practical chapter of this work some concrete recommendations on the improvement of the supply chain efficiency are formulated, including the project of implementation of the collaborative planning and forecasting methodology in Nike LLC. The results of the study confirm the effectiveness of the developed decision as it helps to improve overall economic performance of the company.
