The present paper is a study of alternative medicine, the sphere of people's life, which has a long history, but is superficially studied. The general purpose of this academic project is to identify and describe the practices of consuming alternative medicine services. The necessary database has been collected as a result of interviews with 15 consumers of alternative medicine services. One of the key issues of the whole study is why do people in the modern world when the official medicine is highly developed continue to resort to the services of unscientific and unproven methods of treatment? It is supposed that it will be possible to answer this question by having studied the basic practices of consumption of alternative medicine services.
