Feautures of Corporate Governance in State-owned Enterprises: a Comparative Analysis of Russian and Foreign Experience

The quality of corporate governance is a critical factor in the sustainability of the state-owned enterprises and their long-term success. On the basis of analysis of experience of Russian and foreign companies, the peculiarities of corporate governance in state-owned corporations, and formulated recommendations for improving corporate governance practices in these companies in Russia. Author conducted a review of the scientific literature on the theory of corporate governance concept of corporate governance and the specificity of corporate governance in state-owned corporations. In the thesis, sanctified features of corporate governance of foreign corporations with state participation, from the perspective of the analysis of positive experience. However, the analysis of corporate governance of Russian corporations with state participation, on the example of PJSC "Gazprom". In conclusion, the results of the executed work within the framework of the qualification work and the basic directions of improvement of corporate governance practices in corporations with state participation.
