The most world-used and the most economically acceptable relief for injured party is an award of damages. It is easy to prove, quickly to enforce and get compensation. However, it is sometimes not easy to calculate. This paper aims at studying expectation and reliance damages under American doctrin and further classification of articles of Civil Code of Russian Federation depending on the interest it is trying to restore.
