Dynamic of Relations to Migrants from Islamic Countries / Regions in European Countries and Russia

This graduation work is dedicated to the study the dynamics of relations with migrants from Muslim countries / regions in the European countries and Russia. In order to identify the actual context of the intergroup action, in this work were analyzed the statistics of the European Social Survey to allow us to trace the dynamics of the ingroup's relations to the outgroup, also to carry out cross-country comparisons, and to trace the influence of economic and political indicators on intergroup perception. According to the results of the analysis, Russia was the least tolerant country in relation to migrants from Muslim countries. Also, was conducted content analysis of the media to determine the Russian socio-cultural context in the interaction of migrant Muslims and the host population. This analysis has revealed the informational reasons of migration, as well as context, where the migrants from Muslim countries are mentioned. The result of work is identification of main factors, influencing the nature of the attitude towards migrant-Muslims, as well as the socio-cultural features of the representation of migrants by the Russian media.
