Civil Legal Regulation of a Computer Program as a Result of Intellectual Activity

The work is devoted to the study of civil law regulation of public relations connected with computer programs as a result of intellectual activity. The analysis of the concept of "computer program" is performed, the history of the development of legal regulation of programs is analyzed, the criteria for the guardability and legal regimes of the protection of computer programs in the Russian Federation are analyzed, and the specifics of the process of state registration of programs in the Russian Federation are outlined. The rights that the author and the owner of the computer program possesses, as well as the issues of their disposal, are described. In addition, mechanisms for legal protection and protection of intellectual property rights for computer programs in the Russian Federation are reviewed.
