Political Competition: Constitutional Legal Framework and Development Trends

Political competition is a rivalry connected with the conquest of power in the course of a fair and legitimate struggle. The problems of political competition are most often included in the subject of political science research. However, the legal consolidation of the principle of political competition, the improvement of the guarantee of judicial protection of violated rights, the identification of restrictions on unfair political competition would fully realize the electoral rights of citizens, increase the legitimization of the electoral process. Partial self-regulation of subjects of political competition is also an integral element of its institutionalization. The present work is a study of the nature and properties of political competition, the legal consolidation of the democratic principles underlying political competition, certain features of the legal status of actors and participants in political competition through the prism of constitutional law.
