Master's dissertation is devoted to the study of transfer relations in the field of sports. The aim of the work is to analyze the legality and validity of the existence of a modern European transfer system, of which the Russian Federation is a part. To achieve the goal of the work, it is considered: In the first chapter is considered the formation and development of transfer relations in historical dynamics. The second chapter is devoted to the study of the legal regulation of the transitions of athletes at the legislative and regulatory level. In the next part of the work, an attempt is made to analyze the legal nature of the transitions of athletes from the point of view of the legislation of the Russian Federation. Chapter 4 reflects the main trends in the development of a modern transfer system, and Chapter 5 deals with the analysis of conflicts in the field of sports. Relevance of the work is due to the resumption of disputes and discussions regarding the legality of the transfer system. Some consider it as limiting the rights of athletes to free labor. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that there are currently no prerequisites for a revolutionary reform of the transfer system, but all the accumulated problems should be discussed in a broad dialogue between all aspects of sports relations. The Russian Federation is moving in the right direction with regard to the legislative regulation of sports relations, part of which are transfer relations. Further efforts of legislators should be aimed at harmonization of regulatory and legislative norms. The work consists of an introduction, five chapters, a conclusion, a list of literature. The total number of pages is 92 (excluding the list of literature).
