Modelling of Employment in the Russian Federation

This research discusses an employment indicator on the labor market in the Russian Federation. The main aim of the study is to find factors which have an effect on the employment from making models and testing hypotheses. Therefore, there is a literature review which concludes different methodology used by experts earlier. Based on the information from papers there are realizations of econometric models: classic regression model which is realized with the principal component analysis (PCA), models on dynamic data – seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average model (SARIMA), and vector autoregressive model (VAR). Analyses of the time series include tests for stationarity in a consideration that there are structural shift, seasonal component, and trend. Results of research paper represent relations between factors assumed to influence employment and the analyzing indicator of the employment.
