Opportunities and Challenges of Implementing Sharing Economy Model by International Companies: the Case of Uber Technologies Inc.

The research is dedicated to the sharing economy model, its challenges and opportunities for all macro-economic systems. Historical background, the term "sharing economy" and its origin are considered in the first instance. Various specialists' views are taken into consideration in order to provide a reliable theoretical base. Moreover, the essential elements such as technologies and trustful peer-to-peer cooperation take a key position over all research. People are daily facing with many issues and processes covered in this master thesis. Even more, individuals are immediate participants of the sharing economy model. According to favorable influence of such model, environment, economy, efficient resource utilization and mutual and friendly relations establishing are dynamically developing. However, there are certain challenges concerning taxation and regulation systems. Overall, an attempt to understand whether the sharing economy model offers more benefits rather than drawbacks was made and substantially proved by providing many reasonable diagrams, table and illustrations. In addition, the last part of the research includes Uber example, one of the fundamental business platforms based on the sharing economy model.
