Socio-professional Portrait of a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager

The work is devoted to the analysis of professional activities of managers on corporate social responsibility. The results allow to draw conclusions about the institutionalization of the profession of manager of CSR and increasing interest from business, government and society. The purpose of this study is a representation of socio-professional portrait of the manager of a corporate social responsibility, revealing the core labour functions of the manager, necessary knowledge and skills. Tasks: 1) to provide a theoretical overview of approaches to the description of the occupational groups; 2) to develop a program of empirical research; 3) to conduct empirical research; 4) to describe the socio-demographic characteristics and to identify the essential features of Manager of CSR profession based on the obtained data; 5) submit conclusions and recommendations. The study is based on secondary analysis of data – questionnaires filled out by participants of the rating "TOP-50 Russian managers on corporate social responsibility" (2016). Data analysis was conducted in SPSS. A descriptive analysis (frequency, table mates) and qualitative analysis to describe the number of indicators were conducted. The study has identified the requirements and skills which specialists on CSR are needed for the performance of its activities. The basic labor functions, actions, knowledge, skills and abilities requirements for the level of professional training were listed. Socio-professional portrait of a corporate social responsibility manager was presented.
