In my work, I set the goal to review and analyze the post-crisis strategies of real estate developers in Russia and the USA after 2008 and to recommend an optimal post-crisis strategy in the field of real-estate development. The object is the real-estate development market in post-crisis period in Russia and USA after 2008. The subject is real-estate developers’ strategies in post-crisis period in Russia and the USA after 2008. The work suggests a hypothesis that TOP Russian and US real estate developers used similar strategies before crisis, however using different type of strategies after 2008 taking different risk by themselves. To achieve this aim it is necessary to fulfil the following tasks: consider the features of the real estate development market in the Russian Federation and the United State of America in post-crisis times; research existing real estate developers’ strategies; to analyze the strategies of top developer companies in Russia and the USA after 2008, including successful and unsuccessful experience; predict which of the US real estate developer post-crisis strategies may be implemented in Russia after 2008. It is useful to analyze scientific works of Mazur I.I., Shapiro V.D., Olderogge N.G., and resulting from that – to suggest an appropriate post-crisis strategy for a new real estate developers, applying M. Porter’s Five forces analytical method. In our research we have used quantitative (for statistics and analysis) and qualitative (forming hypotheses and ideas) methods; general academic and scientific methods, such as observation and comparison etc. For illustrative purposes in the analytical part we have used a variety of graphs, charts and tables.
