The aim of this thesis is to study the process approach using the example of optimization of the existing business process. To achieve the goal, the following tasks are set and solved: - consider the essence of the process approach - to disclose the concept of a business process - describe the methodology for describing business processes - carry out an analysis of the activities of the Volga-Vyatka Bank PJSC "Sberbank of Russia" - to study the system of management of business processes of Volgo-Vyatsky Bank PJSC "Sberbank of Russia" - describe one of the business processes and propose various options for its optimization Object of research: business processes The subject of the research: the possibility of improving one of the existing business processes of the Volga-Vyatka Bank of PJSC "Sberbank-Russia". In the process of writing the thesis, the works of modern researchers in the field of economics, and in particular, the process approach and optimization of business processes were studied. Examples include studies by James Wumek, Jeffrey Liker, Imai Masaaki, Jorg Becker, who served as the theoretical and methodological basis for this work. The thesis consists of two chapters. The first chapter is theoretical, it examines the basics of the process approach, the concept of the business process, and also reveals the role of its optimization in the modern business world. The second chapter is a practical part and includes a description of the activities and process management system of the Volga-Vyatka Bank of PJSC "Sberbank of Russia". Also, the chapter contains a description of one of the business processes, various options for its optimization and calculation of its economic efficiency.
