The main object of this study is to research spatial interactions of the regional labor markets in Russia in terms of the unemployment rate. It has been revealed that Russian regions cluster basing on similarity of unemployment rates. The feature of this work lies in application of the endogenous weight matrix constructed by the proximity of the industry structure of gross regional product. Estimation of various parameters’ influence on the unemployment rate has shown that the spatial interaction between regions is a significant factor and that influence of parameters can vary in the regions depending on whether they are rich by energy resources or not.
