Annotation Thesis designation Optimization of Logistics Process in Logistics Provider Warehouse Student Kristina Veisbrod, BLG134, National Research University Higher School of Economics Supervisor Vladimir Penzev, Associate Professor This project describes a study that will examine the way to maximize the efficiency of logistics provider`s warehouse by developing the model of warehouse process using data set analysis to evaluate the model. The model of a real warehouse process allows evaluating the efficiency of warehouse operations through identifying weak points that need to be eliminated. It can be used as decision-making tool with the aim of analyzing different operational strategies by using approaches based on multiple performance measures and user-defined set of input parameters. The research analyzed in scopes of considered problems of warehouse logistic process optimization is viewed from the perspective of key player aimed at maximization of the warehouse efficiency by developing the modeling approaches and using data set analysis to evaluate the model. This proposal describes a proposed study that will be based on the literature and methodological review on subject concerned. For all the posed problems it is supposed to discover appropriate optimization solutions and suggest possible alternatives. It is assumed that this approach as a decision-making tool can be widely distributed among practitioners in the sphere of warehouse logistic process optimization, because an application project presented is considered from the prospective of the great effect of operations optimization on logistic costs and logistics system performance.
