Educational Programme: Information Science and Computation Technology (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 7

Year of Graduation: 2017

The goal of the research project is to develop components for online web streaming service using the state-of-the-art technologies like HTML5 and WebRTC. 3 main components were used: web application, web server and media server. All of them depend on each other and represent complete architecture of the application. As a result there are two types of web application. First one allows deliver media streams to client by means of any modern web browser. And the second one allows to get streams from client and deliver it to the server in order to retranslate this where it is required. It’s worth mentioning that there is no need in supporting software like plugins or browser extension and interaction goes directly from the browser. Although, this work proposes working components which can be used in real enterprise apps there is still huge field of possible further development. One reason is that there are adjacent areas like virtual reality or object recognition which could be implemented into the project. And the second reason is that WebRTC standard is not finished yet and in near future new features will be added and previous features could be changed and improved.
