In the master's thesis the problem of choosing a certain business model on the local market by large TNCs is considered using the example of British American Tobacco. We identify and analyze the factors that guide the company when deciding whether to choose or change its business model in a define single market. During the analysis, factors influencing the differentiation of business models in different markets, features of the industry in which the company operates and possible further changes were identified.

This research is relevant for firms operating under oligopolistic competition and in a downturn in the industry.
