Perception of Business Related Policy by Entrepreneurs in Russia as a Precursor for Institutional Trust in Government

The paper aims to study the formation of institutional trust among Russian entrepreneurs. Using the results of qualitative analysis of in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs from Moscow, author compiles a list of sources for institutional trust. On the next step, the interaction between sources and their arrangement into a general level of trust are described. Finally, author proposes a classification of types of institutional trust, based on their formation mechanism. As a conclusion, the author advances several hypothesis on possible reactions to changes in formal institutions among entrepreneurs with different types of trust.
