Peculiar properties of Legal Statusof Bascetball Player in Russian Federation and National Basketball Association

The work is devoted to peculiarities of the legal status of basketball players in Russia and the NBA. Describes the historical path of development of the legal status of athletes in two countries. The analysis of civil and labor law aspects of the legal status of athletes. Comparative analysis of certain provisions of the legal status of the basketball player in the NBA and the Russian Federation allows to make some proposals on development and improvement of the legal status of athletes in General and basketball in particular.
