In this proposal we aim to understand if the European Parliament elections affect the nationalization of electoral support in the EU Member States. We studied out that when the nationalization of electoral support at the EU level is higher than at national one, the European Parliament elections experience promotes the growth of the national electorate nationalization. This effect cab ne explained as an influence of the proportional election system used in the European Parliament elections. It teaches the electorate and parties think about national agenda.
