Geoffrey Hosking's Approach to the Study of Russian History: Ideas, Problems, Methods

In this paper we consider an approach to the study of Russian history, the famous British historian Geoffrey Alan Hosking. Throughout his life he studied and continues to study the history of Russia in the different periods. The study of historiography is an important part of historical science. In this context, the study of the works of Hosking is of scientific interest from the point of view of the problems which posed by the author in his works, what methods are used to resolve them, and what conclusions comes. Such an analysis would be useful in developing similar themes in Russian historiography.
