Financial Processes Automation in the Engineering Company

Graduate qualification work is dedicated to automation of business processes of financial management in an engineering company. There is the analysis of the state of financial condition in the company in the first chapter of the work. This chapter includes a general description of the company; a description of the business in the IT of the company and a description of the company's finance management processes. There is also the models «as is» of the financial business processes in this chapter. The second chapter is devoted to the development of proposals for improving business processes. A review of methods for assessing and improving business processes and development of indicators of business process assessment is accomplished. The estimation of business processes and the modelling of the business processes "to be" was carried out. The third chapter deals with automation issues: the identification of possible alternatives, of methods for evaluating alternatives, and the identification of criteria; calculation of the cost, complexity and timing of the development of its own software, the most appropriate method of estimation has been selected for this purpose. The analysis of the market of standard software in the field of automation of business processes of financial management was also carried out. As a result, the selection of information systems for the automation of business processes of financial management in the company in question was accomplished.
