The master's thesis is devoted to the study of the migration role in the ethno-demographic development of the Krasnodar Krai. The study is based on extensive statistical information on migration in the Krasnodar Krai that collected over a long period of time and using a wide range of sources. In the theoretical chapter of the master's thesis that uses the descriptive method was considered the experience of studying migration and ethno-demographic processes in the Krasnodar Krai. In the second chapter was analyzed using statistical and analytical methods the migration role in the dynamics of the number and population structure of the Krasnodar Krai. In the master's thesis is noted that the main component of the increase in the Krasnodar Krai population over the past 20 years is the migratory influx of migrants. This is demonstrated in the demographic balance of the Krai population that calculated in the frame of work this research. Considerable attention is given to high rates of migration growth because of which negative processes in the natural reproduction of the Krasnodar Krai population are compensated. In addition was revealed that atypical for the regions in Russia, the trend is the excess of the share of domestic migration relative to the share of the international one. Based on the analysis of statistical data has been identified at the intra-regional level an important role of migration in the size population and in the population composition. The master's thesis notes that the departure of young people from many municipal districts of the Krai to the krai capital and to other Russian regions undermines the reproduction of the population of these municipalities. Also, accelerates the aging of their populations. It was noted that the whole Krasnodar Krai is attractive for migrants of middle and older ages, because of the most favorable nature of its natural and climatic conditions.
