The Attitude of Low-Income Mothers to Measures of State and Social Support: the Expectations and Actual Usage

This work represents sociological sight on the problem of low-income class in Russia. The strategies of adaptation to poverty and survaival are analyzed through the prism of state support and resourses of social networks. The author provides the comparative research of 14 interviews with low-income mothers in Moscow and republic of Bashkortostan by focusing on their relation to support, expectations and factual usage of the state and social network resourses. The work also reflects the features of reproductive behavior.
