Evaluation of the efficiency of the company based on cost methods is a modern and actively developing direction in economic science and business. The goal of the bachelor paper is to identify external factors of the influence of the tourist market on the value of the enterprises of the hotel industry. The tourist and hotel markets in Russia are currently at the stage of the development and have great potential, but they are rather unstable and depend on the political situation, social, economic and other factors. In addition, seasonality is obvious, which has a huge impact on tourist flows, and hence on the profitability of travel agencies and hotels. Based on the results of the forecast, the profitability of the industry will grow, but it is strictly depends on seasonal peculiarities in each quarter. The crisis period, which began in 2014, caused a decline in the number of business trips and events, however, had a positive impact on domestic and incoming tourist flows due to ruble’s depreciation. The increase in tourist flows led to a significant increase in the profits of the hotel industry in 2015. For the practical calculation of the value of objects of the hotel economy, the method of economic value added (EVA) was chosen. EVA for “Astoria” and “Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya” reflect the negative impact of the crisis in 2014, and also show a difference in the dynamics of financial indicators in 2015, due to various areas of specialization of hotels - business and tourism. Thus, external factors of the influence of the tourist market on the value of the hotel industry were revealed: season, national currency rate and the state of the economy, the volume of incoming foreign tourists flow and domestic tourist flow, profitability indicators. By correct analysis of these external factors, in conjunction with internal factors, the management of the hospitality industry can improve the efficiency of the hotel.
