The Position of the Ethnic Groups on the Regional Labor Market: the Contrast between the National Agenda and the Attitude of the Host Society( as an Example of St. Petersburg)

This research paper is devoted to the following theme: «The position of ethnic groups in the regional labor market: the correlation between the national agenda and the employers’ installations (as an example of St. Petersburg)». The main purpose of this paper is the identification of ethnic discrimination in the labor market as well as the dependence of this type of discrimination on the basic tendencies of the state national politics. The structure of the work consists of introduction, two chapters and conclusion. The first chapter reveals such terms as «discrimination», «national policy». General types of discrimination are observed as well as key tendencies of the state national politics are highlighted. The next chapter contains main statistic data about discrimination presence, which was received as a result of a field experiment (correspondence test), conducted during the project "Ethnic groups in the Russian labour market".
