The Problems of Transmedia Social Projects Producing in Russian Media of the 2010s

This thesis examines the concept of transmedia, especially its interpretations of the Russian researchers and producers, participation of audience in the development of transmedia storytelling. In this thesis the international experience of producing a social transmedia projects, their goals, objectives, platforms and principles of interaction in a universe are considered. Compares Russian and foreign experience of worldbuilding a social transmedia projects. As a result of expert interviews was reconstructed specifics of producing social transmedia in Russia on the example of analysis projects “Half the Sky Movement” and “the Day of a Homeless Person”. Work successfully answers the research question - the use of transmedia technologies in the Russian social projects allows to increase the popularity of projects to expand the audience and attract its attention to social problems and participation in their solution. In conclusion, the work provides general guidance for producing social transmedia projects in Russia.
