The topic of this master’s thesis is digitalization of cultural heritage objects and their representation in the digital environment. The purpose of thу thesis is to determine the most appropriate methods for adapting the cultural heritage to a digital medium.

This masters’s thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of used literature and applications. The first chapter is devoted to the analysis of the interaction of cultural institutions and digital environments. The second chapter is a demonstrative example of digitalization’s methods for cultural heritage objects on the basis of the «Museums Neighborhood» project for small museums of the Tretyakov Gallery. The thesis contains practical recommendations on the representation of objects of cultural heritage in the digital environment and this text can be a practical tool for museum specialists or media specialists working in the field of culture.
