The Internet Addiction s an Economic Phenomena of Modern Society

The Internet has become an important part of people's lives across all over the world. Increasing rate of the penetration of Wi-Fi, possibility to have an access to the net in the subway and on the plane, introduction of the new post of President adviser on the Internet, the state policy in this sphere - all of these underline the importance of the Internet and related electronic devices in daily activities. However, despite the positive consequences of the development of the Internet, there is negative side, for example, Internet addiction. Nevertheless, there is the impressive list of studies in the field of addictive goods, the study of the Internet addiction is unknown sphere. This research paper represents structuring the few attempts of study the phenomenon of Internet addiction from different angles: psychology, sociology, and economics. Proposed attempt of economic modeling of the choice of the individual is basic and has potential for further investigation. However, at this stage, the work can become a basis for developing recommendations for government intervention in the market of Internet services and companies that operate in the segment of e-commerce.
