Implementation of Lean Management Tools for Value Chain Optimization in the Field of Oil Equipment Production

The work is devoted to the development of optimization process plan for hulls for centrifugal-vortex pumps producing in the Novomet Perm company. For the purpose of the research methods and tools of lean manufacturing were applied. During the investigation, it was revealed that the main problem of the chosen process is the absence of a single information flow coordinating the activity of the production sites. In the course of the research, a detailed analysis of the selected production process was carried out. The Value Stream Map (VSM) of a production process current state was compiled based on the selected information. Based on the results of the VSM, the main problem areas of the production flow were identified. The analysis of the identified problems and the establishment of the causes of their occurrence were also carried out. Based on the results of the analysis, an action plan was drawn up to optimize the production process, and the VSM of the future state was developed. Finally, the effect of the proposed activities was calculated.
