Non-Economic Factors of Russian Import Structure

The purpose of the research is to study the influence of non-economic factors on imports. The significance of this fact was reflected in the issue, according to which non-economic factors affect not only the export or import of the state, but also all of its economic development as a whole. The research topic is also relevant because of the unstable macroeconomic situation all over the world and, due to the increased importance of non-economic factors in the formation of certain economic processes in modern economic realities. To achieve the goal of the study, Russian import statistics were examined, deepening into the commodity structure for imports, imports with specific countries, imports by regions of the Russian Federation. The analyzed statistics were compared with certain non-economic factors. The results of the research confirm the importance of the role of non-economic factors in influencing the formation of Russian imports.
