Modern business conditions are determined by the rapid change in actions, rules, competitors, market structure, technologies, and most importantly - the chaotic behavior of the consumer, shaping the demand, on which the further success of the organization depends. Therefore, it is necessary to change the approach to decision-making and organization of the company's business processes. One such approach is the use of the methodology of design-thinking, which is gaining popularity among various companies. Within the process of design-thinking, a number of tools are used that contribute to the formation of innovative ideas. Scientists from Germany proposed an approach to the integration of model business processes of the organization and the foundations of design-thinking. The result of this merger is the TBM methodology. This way of modeling processes is an effective tool for interaction with the user and can be used as an independent tool in the hands of the business analyst. But in the work of the creators of this methodology nothing said about the use of such a tool in the process of project thinking. Therefore, the main goal of the work is to determine the role of modeling business processes whithin design-thinking methodology. In work were analyzed the literature, which allows us to identify the features of the methodology, approaches to the process of creating solutions. Also the work presents an overview of existing approaches to modeling business processes and considers the main problems that arise in the process of their compilation. Along with the analysis, an experiment was conducted, the idea of which was to organize the work of the team within the design-thinking methodology with usу of the business process modeling as the main tool.
