Ensuring Personal Data Security in the Big Data Technology Era by the Means of Navigation Systems GLONASS and GPS Information Gathering

This research work is devoted to the analysis of existing problems in the safety precautions while working and using particular man personal data in the Big Data era, and, in particular, when this data is collected by the GLONASS and GPS navigation systems. In addition, this work describes the general concepts and characteristics connected with Big Data, reveals the technology concepts, which are used while working with data. Besides this, much attention is paid to the legal aspects while working with personal data in the Big Data era. The shortcomings (concerning the personal data protection in the Big Data era) in the legislation of the European Union countries and the Russian Federation are revealed. The different solutions are offered. In this research the personal data security by the means of GLONASS and GPS navigation systems use is analyzed. The conclusion is made that those concepts and steps to improve the current state of the personal data protection, which were suggested for the various Big Data technologies use, can be also suitable for the navigation services sphere. In this research work the recommendations that can help in the personal data protection were formulated. In particular, we are talking about the creation of a modern international legal instrument, where the personal data and the ways of using it are clearly defined. Moreover, the information protection standardization in the Big Data era for all the spheres using these techologies is suggested. At the state level the creation of the system allowing users to track their personal data use is also mentioned in this work.
