Features of Professional Football Clubs Management in Russia

This research focuses on analyzing the management system of professional football in Russia. In recent years, it has become more obvious that the existing system of significant government involvement needs to be modified. This topic pertains to both optimization of government expenses and long-term development of professional football as a self-sufficient and profitable business activity. Based on a comparative analysis of domestic and foreign practices and on analyzing financial stability of Russian football clubs using the Altman Z-score, specific recommendations were made to increase the revenue base and modify the revenue structure of Russian clubs.
