Influence of Political Differences on the Media Markets of the BRICS Countries

The subject of this study is the political influence on media markets in the BRICS countries, which was historically formed by political systems of these countries. The novelty of this paper is that it contains an analysis of the influence of political factors on media in these countries in comparison not only within the framework of the five countries, but also in relation to the more developed countries. The author makes an attempt to describe the relations between spheres of media and politics in the BRICS countries by analyzing the statistical data and statutory legal acts of the BRICS members. Considering all their distinctive features we can construct the possibilities for further development of media markets of these countries and for their relations and cooperation both within the organization and in the international media market.
