Career Development in the Civil Service

A person has always been the main resource of any institute, any kind of organization. With the proper management of personnel, with proper management of human resources the organization will begin to prosper. The same applies to the public sector. The aim of this diploma work is to find out what affects career development in the civil service and indicate the level of influence of the identified factors; identify the problems that exist in this area; develop recommendations for solving identified problems. The questioning is the main method for achieving the first component of the goal. With its help the author of the diploma work found out that the most influential factors concern the quality of work and the level of education of a civil servant, as well as his job experience. The problems of this area are low levels of satisfaction of civil servants with their work and productivity of their work, as well as underestimation of their role in the life of the state and underestimation by the state of the role of incentives towards civil servants. In work, the identified factors and problems are described in detail. Finally, at the end of the work, the author proposed the developed recommendations to address the identified problems in the field of career development in the civil service.
