Abstract The increased focus on the sustainable development problem in our modern society provides basis for a number of researches concerning this sphere. The one of the most relevant directions addressed to sustainable maturity assessment that could be practically applied in project management. Thus, this research is aimed to designing maturity level evaluation technique taking into account the concept of sustainable development and oil and gas industry specific. The model was designed on the example of the industry best-practices in context of social and ecological responsibility and allowed to evaluate sustainable maturity of Russian oil and gas companies.
