Features of Copyright Protection in Сase of Illegal Use of Authorship Works on the Internet

In the dissertation, author analyzes features of copyright protection in the Internet. With the advent of Web 2.0 technology and the development of the Internet, users were able to share easily information without the permission of copyright holders, creating and distributing copies of intellectual property rights` objects. In this regard, the protection of intellectual property in the Internet shall pay attention. The work consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusion, bibliographic list and appendix. The first chapter of the study is dedicated to various forms of copyright protection on the Internet. The author concludes that non-jurisdictional form of protection of copyrights should be payed attention, in particular, the author proposes to introduce in the legislation norms on the method of protection, obliging to apply filtering programs, following the example of the foreign Content-ID system. In the second chapter, methods of copyright protection are analyzed, which are subdivided into protection measures and measures of responsibility. Pointed that not all methods of protection, enshrined in the Civil Code, take in point the specifics of the Internet. In addition, it is proposed to add in some articles of the Civil Code of the RF provisions on the application of certain methods of protection for violations in the network. The third chapter considers the information`s intermediary as a special subject of copyrights. The author proposes the introduction of additional criteria in the legislation, allowing referring the information intermediary to any group related to Art. 1253.1 Civil Code of the RF. Author made a proposal to introduce a solidary responsibility of the information intermediary, site administrator and user, depending on the fault of each one. Author proposes to establish a list of necessary and sufficient measures which should to be taken by the information intermediary in case of the rightholder's request.
