Car Sharing Business Processes Development for Drive Now Company

This master thesis describes business processes of car rental systems for short periods of time. The author gives an introduction into the function principles of car sharing. There is a detailed analysis of business processes of DriveNow company that provides car sharing services. The necessity of optimizing of existing business processes is revealed and justified. Possible changes of the existing system are extensively described and the advantages of these changes are given. The author implemented a program in C++ that allows to simulate the car sharing process and to evaluate advisability of introducing enhancements. The author describes simulation experiments that were executed and the results prove the economic benefit of enhanced business processes.
